9.12.07: Regina, SK: The Distrikt

I woke up in an industrial area of Regina. It's cold and rainy. Most of the buildings are painted grey and pale blue. It feels surreal, dream-like. Honestly, I don't want to be here. My head has been pounding since I lifted it from my pillow, probably due to the dramatic change in weather. I want it to all go away . . .

A couple of hours later, things turn around a bit because after some Emergen-C and ibu, my body adjusts, and after a phone conversation with mi media naranja y mi mama, my mind accepts that I'll soon be away from this situation. Moreover, I hear that the ticket count is really high tonight, almost a sell-out already, which eases my thoughts of spending my time away from my family.

Touring is always hard. One just adjusts to the life of it in order to stay sane.

It was cold and rainy there, but here it was too hot. It has been cooler here, so it rather caught me off guard. I went early to see Sherwood, The Rocket Summer, Armor for Sleep and The Academy Is and I promoted Mute Math heavily.

I always feel a little sad when band members miss family. It's why I get so excited when someone can come along. But it makes me really appreciate all you guys do.

I'm glad to hear about the good turn-out. I will do what I can to make sure the turn out is good here on Oct. 2. I hope it works. :)

Sorry about the headache. Someone landed on my neck tonight, and I've had a splitting headache since, so I know how little fun those things are. Not sure what to take. I can't take Ibu, and it's nor really a migraine, although it's nearly as uncomfortable. More than you wanted to know. LOL ;) Anyway, hope yours was gone by show time. I bet you were amazing as always. :)

Life on the road has got to be tough. Stay connected to God at all cost....
Question:
How can I vote for my favorite Mute Math song when 'OK' isn't on the list?
(actually, in terms of pure music, I lean heavily toward Obsolete. I sure hope you guys are cooking up some more instrumentals!)

The earth is blue like an orange?
(Hold on, I'm getting that "What is the sound of one hand clapping" thing...)

Sorry about the health/feeling woes. This has been an off week for me, too. I also imbibed in some Emergen-C (made me smile that you use that, too... My friend Annie intro'd me to it). But I skipped the ibu and went straight to watching part of Anne of Avonlea on my couch in the darkness with a blanket and a tall glass o' agua (one of my few Spanish words, thank you Sesame St.).

Hey Roy,
I've never been on tour before but I know that it must be very very hard. I hope that you feel better about your situation, after all, it has it's highs and lows. I'll be praying for you!!!

All will be ok...in times of need, you clearly know what or who to turn to.

Thinking and praying for you :)
