1.29.07-UT Austin
After a wonderful weekend with my wife out on the road and some of the best shows of the tour over (Miami and Savannah), all that is on my mind is to get these last two shows done with, and head back home to rest.
Don't misunderstand me. I'm stoked to be playing these last two shows, especially since one of them is in my native Texas, but nearing the end of a tour always gets me in this mood. This tour has been amazing, from the beautiful venues and the slendid catering to the huge crowds and the creative moments in the dressing rooms with my MPC.
Nevertheless, all good things must come to an end.

1.20.07: Myrtle Beach House of Blues
Officially, it was Mute Math's third time to this particular House of Blues (or as it is sometimes known by bands-House of Rules):
1) opening for Chevelle,
2) opening for Switchfoot, and
3) opening for The Fray.
I only played the latter two shows, and, according to everyone in the band, tonight was definitely the best out of the three. Hopefully, we'll headline this place next time around.
In other news, I've been fairly sick for the last three or four days. I really don't remember exactly how long any more after all the meds and hot teas that have been in my system. I've tried every natural remedy, and I'm coming around, slowly but surely.
Anyway, I've put up one of my Beastie Boys remixes on www.myspace.com/roymitchellcardenas. Check it out. There will be more to come.

1.15.07: Cincinnati, OH
Things have been dreamy on this tour. I've gotten into a rountine of making tracks/remixes everyday. I've been remixing Beastie Boys songs, and spending a lot of time with one of my favorite instruments: MPC 2000.
Here's some other pictures of the tour and other old ones I never uploaded:

1.12.07: Michigan State University
The last time I was at MSU was when I was 14. I came up to Michigan with some family of mine to visit the host family my primo Chuy. One of the daughters of the host family attended MSU; I think her name was Carrie? It was a long time ago.
Anyway, it's nice to be back, and even though the audience sat down the entire set, we performed our hearts out.

This place is huge(6000+)! I can't wait for tonight. Soundcheck was great and everyday is getting better as we move along.

1.10.07-Wartburg College
Another cold day here in the Midwest; however, it's a clear day with plenty of sunshine.
I find my neck to be extremely sore from all of last night's headbanging and craziness. Whenever I feel this way, I think of Cliff Burton (the original bassist of Metallica). I remember watching a video about him and his headbanging ways. He was such a great bass player.
Cliff 'em all!

1.09.07: Kenosha, WI - First Show with The Fray
1.09.07: Kenosha, WI - First Show with The Fray
Being back on the road is bittersweet. I love playing shows and hanging with the guys, but I hate being away from my wife and my house, which I have been working on fervently over the break. From painting to hanging chandeliers, I've gained something at being a better handyman, obviously with a lot of help from www.thisoldhouse.com.
Now onto touring life. I'm excited about this tour with the Fray. I think they are a great band, (I've seen them live once) and I think is going to one of the best tours for us.
See you out there! Ciao!
