TRIAD: A SUCCESS!!!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the first annual Triad Music Conference. We had a blast! All the students involved really enjoyed the master classes, rhythm clinic, and student concert. Can't wait for the next year. A video summing up the event should be posted soon. In the meanwhile, here's a pic of DK teaching a class:

On a side note, my 20 year reunion with my old punk band IPM was absolutely amazing. Below are some pictures of the event (taken by Evana Vleck, who helped put the show together):

Response to Recent Triad Comment

Not too long ago, Matt wrote this comment concerning Triad:

"Hey Roy, I play drums and my friend Tom plays Bass. Bottom line is that we are quite interested in going to the Triad Music Conference (And I mean QUITE). However, we live in Houston and my parents aren't really that comfortable with us being so close to the border. Is it a possibility that you and Darren would possibly hold another workshop in Houston? Hopefully we are able to make it one the 19th. Mutemath has definitely been a major influence in our band and in my playing style. Thanks and God Bless, Matt"

Let me just say that if I thought there would be some kind of danger holding such an event in McAllen, I would never consider holding it in my hometown. Yes, there has been some rough stuff happening on the Mexican side of the border in Matamoros and Reynosa, but this hasn't spilled over into McAllen. I assure you that this event will be an entertaining and safe time. Thanks for your interest. Hope to see you there...
